Day 1 - NEW YORK/DAKAR

Leave JFK for nonstop flight to Dakar - Dinner and entertainment aboard.

Day 2 - DAKAR

Arrive Dakar. Meet and greet and transfer to Hotel

Day 3 - DAKAR

Visit the Place de Independence, the President’s Palace, the Grande Mosque, with stops at the colorful Kermel market, the Soumbedioune arts and crafts market and the Ifan Museum, Freedom Statue etc.

Day 4 - GOREE

Take a ferryboat to Goree Island. As a slave holding fort, Goree played an important role in the history of the Americas. You wander the streets, visit the museum, and inspect the Slave House, auction block and dungeons as our guide relates the history of the Island. Lunch availabe at a seaside restaurant. Afterwards return to hotel

Day 5 - BANDIR

GAME PARK/DAKAR Early Morning departure to Bandir Game Park, after lunch return to Dakar. Rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 6 - PINK LAKE-SALEY

Morning departure for the mysterious Pink Lake. An incredible rose-colored body of water surrounded by sands and dunes. Dune Ride tour available. Chez Salim is a great lunch spot, close by. Afterwards continue to St Louis, a city reminiscent of New Orleans

Day 7 - ST. LOUIS

Saint-Louis is a city on the northwest coast of Senegal. It’s known for its colonial architecture. The old town is on N’Dar Island, in the Senegal River. This island is linked to the mainland by the 1865 Faidherbe Bridge, designed by Gustave Eiffel. Place Faidherbe has well-preserved buildings, including the Governor’s Palace and the neoclassical cathedral. The Musée du CRDS exhibits historical artifacts and art.Explore the narrow streets flanked by houses with iron balconies. Afterwards continue to Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary, close to The Senegal River and surrounding wetlands host pelicans, pink flamingos as well as many thousands migrating birds. Evening return to St. Louis.

Day 8 - ST. LOUIS/ SALY

After breakfast drive back to Saly, a famous beach resort with all kinds of water sport, horse back riding etc

Day 9 - SALY

Day at leisure, optional tours available

Day 10 - DAKAR/NEW YORK

Return tip to JFK
